One Minute for Peace: Seychelles joins global call for reflection

The Seychelles Interfaith Council (Sifco) yesterday announced its national ‘One Minute Pause for Peace’ campaign at a press conference held in the conference room of the National Council for Children at Bel Eau.
The initiative aims to promote peace, reflection, unity and solidarity across Seychelles.
Sifco is inviting the nation to unite on Monday, September 21, 2026, in a simple yet powerful gesture: pausing for one minute to dedicate that moment to peace. The campaign coincides with the United Nations International Day of Peace, themed this year ‘Invest in Peace – For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day’.
