Commission of Inquiry hears Fire Service testimonies on CCCL explosion

The Commission of Inquiry into the CCCL explosion continued its hearings on yesterday with detailed testimonies from senior officers of the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA). Station Officer Robinson Cadeau and Chief Firefighting Officer Tally Domingue recounted their experiences during the catastrophic blast at Providence, outlining the immediate response, the scale of injuries, gaps in preparedness, and the psychological toll on responders.

Their accounts shed light on the challenges faced by firefighters on the night of the incident, the absence of prior knowledge about explosives stored at CCCL, and the urgent need for stronger fire safety regulations and training in hazardous materials.
