Youth Festival fair showcases young entrepreneurs

Young entrepreneurs and business owners had the chance to showcase their ventures and share experiences during the Youth Festival fair held yesterday at Camion Hall.

Among the participants was 31‑year‑old Lucytania Jean, founder of Camilla’s Cleaning Service, launched in 2024. Ms Jean said the grant she received was crucial in helping her establish and strengthen her business. Camilla’s Cleaning Service specialises in outdoor landscaping and gardening, with a focus on organic materials. She described the grant scheme as a valuable initiative that gives young entrepreneurs the support they need to grow.

Jean‑Christian Pillay Youpa, owner of Lakaz Dimyel, also benefited from the programme. A local beekeeper producing pure honey, Mr Pillay Youpa explained that the financial support had enabled him to expand his business and build a name for himself. With demand rising, he hopes to eventually supply across Mahé.
