Culinary bridges: Seychelles and India celebrate shared traditions

 

The Minister for Tourism & Culture, Amanda Bernstein, yesterday launched a vibrant new cookbook featuring colourful photographs and recipes that showcase the quality and diversity of Indian vegetarian cuisine.

The illustrated techniques and recipes are the work of visiting Indian chefs Prajit Prasanna Kumar and Mehboob Alam, specialists in vegetarian cuisine. The chefs are currently conducting hands-on training and tasting sessions with local chefs and students at the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA), teaching them how to prepare authentic Indian dishes while incorporating fresh, locally sourced Seychellois produce.
