India–Seychelles strategic partnership: A forward-looking relationship
India and Seychelles have shared historic, cultural, and people-to-people ties for more than two centuries, evolving over the past 50 years into a strong and multifaceted bilateral partnership. Following Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s state visit to Seychelles in June, Seychelles NATION spoke with Indian High Commissioner to Seychelles Rohit Rathish about the significance of the visit, the implementation of the US $175 million Special Economic Package, and cooperation in housing, healthcare, vocational training, maritime security, food and energy security, digital transformation, and future economic and people-to-people relations.
