Praslin is all set for Youth Festival 2026

Praslin is putting the final touches to preparations ahead of the official opening of Youth Festival 2026 this evening, with the island set to host the ceremony for the first time.

The official opening ceremony will take place at 6.30pm at the Grand Anse Praslin playing field, marking the start of a week-long programme of activities bringing young people together through sports, culture, arts, entrepreneurship and discussions on issues affecting the youth.

Seychelles NATION spoke to Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC) principal programme officer Debra Fanchette yesterday afternoon, as preparations entered their final stage.
