The start of the training

Forty ambulance drivers and porters from across Seychelles have begun a Ministry of Health training programme designed to strengthen pre‑hospital care, improve patient safety, and enhance the quality of emergency medical services. The initiative reinforces the ministry’s commitment to ensuring patients receive safe, timely, and effective assistance from the scene of an emergency to the healthcare facility.

The official launch took place yesterday at the National Institute of Health and Social Studies (NIHSS) and was officiated by Minister for Health, Dr Marvin Fanny. The event was also attended by secretary of state for Health, Dr Jude Padayachy, senior leadership of the Ministry of Health, ambulance drivers and porters, staff of the ministry and representatives of the NIHSS.
