Seychelles calls for MVI, diversified trade routes
At the 49th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council being held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Seychelles sounded a warning over mounting economic pressures triggered by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Delivering his remarks on the opening day yesterday, Minister for Foreign Affairs & the Diaspora, Barry Faure, urged urgent implementation of the Multi‑dimensional Vulnerability Index (MVI) and called for diversified trade routes to safeguard small island states against global shocks.
