New study tracks white-tailed tropicbirds from Aride island
A new research project on Aride island is shedding light on the remarkable journeys of one of Seychelles' most iconic seabirds, the white-tailed tropicbird, while helping train the next generation of conservation scientists.
The collaborative study, led by the University of Seychelles’ department of environment and Island Biodiversity and Conservation Centre in partnership with the Island Conservation Society (ICS) and the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research, is tracking the movements of white-tailed tropicbirds during both the southeast and northwest monsoon seasons.
