A high‑level delegation from the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (Comesa), led by secretary general Chileshe Kapwepwe, paid a courtesy visit to President Patrick Herminie at State House yesterday, reaffirming the strong partnership between Seychelles and the regional bloc.

The visit focused on strengthening cooperation in support of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), women’s and youth empowerment, local value addition, and improved regional trade connectivity.

Senior officials from Comesa, the Comesa Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB), and the Government of Seychelles discussed initiatives aimed at promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
