Inquiry into CCCL explosion opens
The Commission of Inquiry into the Civil Construction Company Limited (CCCL) incident of December 7, 2023, held its first session yesterday at the Court of Appeal conference room, Palais de Justice, Ile du Port.
Established to independently investigate the causes and sequence of events leading to the explosion, the Commission was officially sworn in by President Patrick Herminie at State House on March 31, 2026. It is chaired by Justice Nicola Sharpe‑Phiri, with members Guy Roucou and Dora Zatte.
