Lions Club of Seychelles launches vision screening programme at Bel Ombre primary school
The Lions Club of Seychelles launched its vision screening programme at Bel Ombre primary school yesterday morning during a small ceremony held on the school grounds.
Organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Optic Seychelles, the initiative aims to improve children’s eye health through early detection of vision problems and provide corrective support where needed.
As part of the programme, free eye screenings were conducted for pupils. Children identified as requiring corrective eyewear will receive glasses and frames free of charge. The project, estimated at R100,000, ensures that no child is left without the necessary support.
