HRM forum highlights people-centred public service

The importance of placing people at the centre of human resource management was the key message delivered at the HRM Forum held yesterday morning at the Savoy Resort & Spa, part of celebrations marking 50 years of public service in Seychelles.

The event brought together HR officers from across the country to discuss ways of strengthening the public service through people-focused human resource practices.

Opening the forum, principal secretary for the Department of Public Administration, Fatime Kante, reminded participants that public service is more than a collection of procedures and policies – it is a commitment to improving the lives of citizens and supporting the wellbeing of public servants.
