A current overview of rapid digitalisation under the current administration

Not long ago, the average Seychellois could go months without noticing any significant change in the way government services were delivered. Applying for permits, retrieving information, accessing public services, or dealing with administrative processes often meant travelling to an office, waiting in line, filling out paperwork, and hoping that the process moved swiftly behind the scenes.

Today, that reality is beginning to change.

Over the past several months, a quiet but unmistakable transformation has been taking place across Seychelles. While roads, buildings and other physical infrastructure often dominate public discussion, another form of infrastructure is rapidly being built in the background – digital infrastructure.
