Seychellois sprinter Caleb Vadivello, 23, has been hit with a four-year suspension after he was found guilty of an anti-doping rule violation.
According to the Regional Anti-Doping Organisation on behalf of the Seychelles National Anti-doping Commission (SNADC), Vadivello has been sanctioned under Article 2.1 of SNADC anti-doping rules, which concerns the presence of a prohibited substance, its metabolites, or markers in an athlete's sample.
Vadivello was tested out of competition in Mauritius on July 2, 2025 while there to take part in the Pepsi Senior National Championships 2025. Samples collected from the athlete were analysed at the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada)-accredited laboratory in Doha, Qatar, where the presence of stanozolol and its metabolites was confirmed. Stanozolol is classified as an anabolic androgenic steroid under Category S1.1 of Wada's 2025 prohibited list.
