Community comes together for World Oceans Day workshop
Around 40 participants gathered at Callino’z in Victoria on Saturday for ‘Letters to the Ocean’, a World Oceans Day creative workshop that brought together art, reflection and conversations about ocean protection.
The workshop was organised by young Seychellois Victoria Gao through the Ocean Uprise Externship, with local support from Parley Seychelles, Callino’z, sustainability consultant Isabella Gappy, and artists Nigel Henri and Philip Volcère.
The event welcomed children, young people and adults, including students from the School for the Deaf and participants from Elles Foundation, who were offered complimentary spaces. The aim was to create an inclusive space where people could connect with ocean conservation in a more personal and creative way.
