Great Battle for the Crown winner Abdel Assary gets hero’s welcome on La Digue
Winner of The Great Battle for the Crown, Abdel Assary, received a hero’s welcome upon his return to his home island of La Digue late yesterday afternoon.
Not only were his parents – Solana Assary and Gerard Camille – and family members present to welcome him back at the main port in La Passe, but his friends who had followed him through the contest and voted for him.
They sang the ‘Congratulations’ song to show their love for Abdel Assary and give him a triumphant welcome home.
