First Lady champions women farmers on Praslin

First Lady Véronique Herminie on Saturday visited five women farmers on Praslin as part of ongoing activities marking 2026, designated by the United Nations as the ‘Year for Women Farmers’.

The initiative, led by the Office of the First Lady in partnership with the Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Blue Economy and the Enterprise Seychelles Agency, promotes locally produced agricultural goods and value‑added products, including beauty and wellness items derived from fruits, vegetables, coconut, and cinnamon. It also provides space for women farmers to share experiences, exchange ideas, and explore ways to integrate technical innovations into their practices.
