FAD Watch project marks major milestone in marine conservation |22 April 2026

The Seychelles Fisheries Authority, in collaboration with the Seychelles Coast Guard, has successfully completed the third mission under the FAD Watch project. From March 10 to April 2, 2026, the Seychelles Coast Guard (SCG) vessel Saya de Malha, operating under the Seychelles Fisheries Authority’s (SFA) direction, undertook a comprehensive operation to recover drifting fish aggregation devices (dFADs) and conduct beach clean-ups across Seychelles’ outer islands.
