CWS upgrades Fibre Broadband nationwide, delivering more speed and value at no extra cost |07 April 2026

Cable & Wireless Seychelles has rolled out a nationwide upgrade to its Fibre Broadband services, delivering increased speed and greater value to residential customers automatically, at no additional cost.

As part of this upgrade, customers on Unlimited Fibre Broadband plans now benefit from higher speeds, with entry-level packages upgraded to a minimum of 60 Mbps, enabling faster and more consistent connectivity throughout the day.

At the same time, customers on Capped Fibre Broadband plans are receiving increased data allowances, with a minimum of 30GB, providing greater flexibility for everyday digital usage.

Unlike traditional upgrades that require customers to change plans or incur additional costs, Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS) has enhanced services automatically, ensuring customers can immediately benefit from improved performance without taking any action.

“This upgrade is about delivering more from the service our customers already have, in a simple and seamless way,” said Oliver Focktave, chief products & innovation officer at Cable & Wireless Seychelles.

“Unlimited customers now benefit from faster speeds, while capped customers have more data to support their daily usage. It’s about improving the overall experience and ensuring our customers can do more of what matters, without having to change anything.”

Built on CWS’s fibre network, the upgrade reinforces the core strengths of fibre technology, delivering stable, consistent performance and low latency, supported by local expertise and 24/7 customer support.

The nationwide rollout is underpinned by continued investment in Seychelles’ telecommunications infrastructure and local capabilities. CWS has recently deployed 50G PON technology across its fibre network, enabling greater capacity and ensuring the network remains ready to support future demand.

As digital lifestyles continue to evolve, households are increasingly connected, with multiple devices and higher data usage. This upgrade ensures that CWS customers are equipped with the speed and flexibility needed to support modern living.

Through initiatives like this, CWS continues to strengthen its role in enabling a more connected Seychelles, guided by its commitment to powering Seychelles’ digital future.
