Seventeen newly qualified nurses have officially joined the Seychelles Nurses and Midwives Council after receiving their registration certificates during a special ceremony held last Thursday at the Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education auditorium at Mont Fleuri.
The event marked an important milestone for the graduates as they formally entered the nursing profession after following nursing courses at the National Institute of Health and Social Studies (NIHSS). In a symbolic and meaningful moment, the newly qualified nurses took their professional oath, pledging to uphold the highest standards of care, integrity, and compassion in their duties.
The ceremony was attended by the Secretary of State for Health, Dr Jude Padayachy along with the chairperson of the Seychelles Nurses and Midwives Council, Lina Philoé, and other council members, who gathered to celebrate and support the new entrants into the healthcare system.
