Crime cases fall in final quarter of 2025, but theft and fraud show increase

 Crime cases recorded in Seychelles declined in the final quarter of 2025, according to the latest Crime, Justice and Security statistics bulletin released by the National Bureau of Statistics.

However, the report also highlights increases in certain offences such as theft and fraud, while cases reported by the public rose slightly during the same period.

The bulletin compiles data from several institutions including the police department, employment tribunal, family tribunal, probation services and the prison department. It provides an overview of trends between the fourth quarter of 2024 and that of 2025.
