President Ramkalawan highlights solidarity and harmony in Eid message |21 March 2026
“As our Muslim brothers and sisters in Seychelles join millions around the world in celebrating the joyous festival of Eid, I extend my warmest greetings and sincere best wishes to the entire Muslim community.
“The conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan is a moment of deep spiritual significance. It reflects a journey marked by devotion, discipline, prayer, and generosity of spirit. Eid reminds us that faith is not only expressed through worship, but also through compassion, humility, and care for one another.
“Seychelles has always been a nation enriched by its diversity of cultures and beliefs. Within this beautiful mosaic, the Muslim community continues to play an important and valued role in our national life.
“Through dedication to family, community service, entrepreneurship, and social harmony, you contribute meaningfully to the progress and unity of our islands.
“Eid offers an opportunity for all of us to reflect on the values that bind us together as a people – solidarity, respect, and a shared responsibility to uplift those around us. At a time when the world is facing division and uncertainty, such values remain essential in nurturing peace and understanding within our communities.
“As you gather with loved ones to celebrate this special day, may the spirit of Eid fill your homes with joy, your hearts with gratitude, and your lives with continued blessings.
“Eid Mubarak to the Muslim community of Seychelles and to all those celebrating this special occasion.”
