Arsu Ladies reach final against defending champs Tampon Gecko Volley
Women’s team, Arsu, will represent Seychelles at the 2026 Confederation of African Volleyball Zone 7 Club Championship’s final tomorrow.
In a thrilling semifinal encounter yesterday at the Palais des Sports, Arsu Ladies faced fellow local side City Ladies in a match that had spectators on their feet.
Arsu Ladies, in perfect form, won the match 3-1 (26-24, 25-14, 26-28, 25-23). This result sets up an exciting showdown with reigning champions Tampon Gecko Volley of Reunion, who beat Quatre Bornes VBC of Mauritius 3-1 (25-17, 17-25, 25-16, 25-20) in the first semifinal encounter.
Arsu Ladies and Tampon Gecko Volley are no strangers, having met in the group stage and the former won 3-2 (22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-17, 15-10).
In the men’s final, reigning champions Tampon Gecko Volley of Reunion will face Gendarmerie Nationale of Madagascar after winning 3-1 (25-17, 17-25, 25-16, 25-20) over Oranges Rodrigues of Mauritius in the first semi-final played yesterday.
