Seychelles honorary consul general to undergo astronaut training at NASA Space Center

For the first time, a citizen of Seychelles will participate in full astronaut-style training at a United States space facility. Seychelles honorary consul general in Bulgaria, Maxim Behar, will travel to Huntsville, Alabama, on February 12 to join an intensive programme at the NASA U.S. Space and Rocket Center.

Mr Behar will be accompanied by his wife, Veneta, who will train in a separate female group as part of the international Hello, Space! project. The initiative, organised under the Atlantic Club in Bulgaria, was made possible through the support of Mr Behar’s friends, partners, and colleagues as a collective gift marking his 70th birthday.
