The second steering committee meeting of the Indian Ocean Plastic Expedition project officially opened on Tuesday morning at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino, bringing together member states and partners to review progress to date and share initial results.
The Indian Ocean Plastic Expedition project (ExPLOI) is a regional initiative aimed at reducing plastic pollution in four Indian Ocean countries – the Union of the Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, and Seychelles – through an integrated approach encompassing scientific, technical, economic, social, institutional, and regulatory components.
