Seychelles has begun 2026 with a slower pace in tourism, recording a 9.4 percent decline in visitor arrivals during the first two weeks compared to the same period in 2025.
According to the latest update from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), a total of 10,884 visitors arrived in the country year-to-date as of week 02 (ending January 11, 2026). This figure falls short of the 12,017 arrivals registered during the corresponding period last year, reflecting a cautious start shaped by post-holiday seasonal patterns and varying flight schedules.
