World Pulses Day: Pulses bringing diversity to agrifood systems |10 January 2026

World Pulses Day, observed annually on January 10, celebrates the vital role pulses play in building sustainable, resilient, and inclusive agrifood systems worldwide. Designated by the United Nations General Assembly, the day builds on the momentum of the International Year of Pulses in 2016, led by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO).
