Football: Foresters start 2025–26 on a high, lifting the President’s Cup

As the Seychelles football calendar turned another page, Foresters set the tone for the 2025–26 season with a thrilling 3–2 extra-time victory over Côte d’Or in the President’s Cup at Stad Linite.

The win marked a triumphant return to the top of the season-opening showdown, reclaiming the trophy they last lifted in 2023.

The President’s Cup, which traditionally pits the previous season’s league champions against the SFF Cup holders, remains a symbolic and competitive curtain-raiser.
