The Seychelles National Choir brought the spirit of Christmas alive on Saturday December 13, 2025 with its much-anticipated end-of-year fundraising Christmas show, staged at the National Theatre in Mont Fleuri. Beginning promptly at 7pm, the event drew a fully packed auditorium.
The choir, led by conductor and vocal coach Xiaoju Lownam, presented a carefully curated programme of 25 items, blending traditional Christmas carols, hymns, contemporary spiritual songs, and culturally rooted pieces. Classic carols such as ‘Joy to the World’, ‘Il est né le divin enfant’, ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’, ‘The First Noel’, ‘God Rest You Merry Gentlemen’, and ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year’ resonated warmly with the audience, many of whom could be seen quietly singing along.
