District Emergency Brigades recognised for dedication and service

 

In commemoration of International Volunteer Day, celebrated annually on December 5, the Ministry of Local Government and Inner Islands hosted a special recognition ceremony at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino last week to honour the dedication and service of District Emergency Brigade members on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue.

The over 355 active members each received a certificate from Minister Eveline Rose, honouring their dedication and service, which were presented at regional level; North (Bel Ombre, Beau Vallon, Glacis, Anse Etoile), Inner Islands (Grand Anse Praslin, Baie St Ane Praslin, La Digue), Central 1 (Ile Perseverance 1, Ile Perseverance 2, St Louis, Bel Air, English River, Mont Buxton), Central 2 (Mont Fleuri, Plaisance, Roche Caiman, Les Mamelles), East (Cascade, Pointe Larue, Anse Aux Pins, Au Cap, Anse Royale), South West (Takamaka, Baie Lazare, Anse Boileau, Grand Anse Mahé, Port Glaud). Recognition certificates were also presented to members of the emergency brigades in the ministry’s secretariat.
