Thirty-seven health professionals were awarded certificates yesterday after successfully completing the safeguarding and child protection training programme.
The ceremony, held at the Sheikh Khalifa Conference Room at Seychelles Hospital, marked the culmination of a collaborative initiative between the Health Care Agency (HCA) and the National Council for Children (NCC). The programme aims to strengthen the protection of health, well-being, and human rights – particularly for children under the care of national health institutions. It is founded on the principle that safeguarding is a collective responsibility shared across all levels of service, ensuring every child’s right to live free from harm, abuse, and neglect.
