Seychelles certified for measles and rubella elimination

Seychelles has been certified by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as having eliminated measles and rubella, along with Cabo Verde and Mauritius, thus becoming one of the first countries in sub-Saharan Africa to achieve this milestone.

This historic achievement represents more than two decades of sustained effort by the government of Seychelles to protect every child from vaccine-preventable diseases.
