27th Clean Up the World Campaign gets underway

The 27th Clean Up the World campaign got underway yesterday morning with a ceremonial bin placement and symbolic tree planting event at the Grand Anse Mahé beach.

The ceremony, led by the Landscape and Waste Management Agency (LWMA), was attended by the Minister for Agriculture, Climate Change and Energy, Flavien Joubert, LWMA’s acting deputy chief executive, Sharon Stravens, along with various dedicated partners and passionate environmental advocates including enthusiastic schoolchildren of the Grand Anse Mahé primary school.
