Cabinet approves a number of legal and policy memoranda |13 September 2025

President Wavel Ramkalawan chaired a scheduled meeting of the Cabinet on Wednesday September 10, in which a number of legal and policy memoranda were approved.

Cabinet approved the legal implementation of the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. This decision underscores Seychelles’ commitment to international obligations, strengthens national and regional security, and enables access to Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) capacity-building and technical cooperation.

Cabinet approved the immediate recognition and enforcement of all applicable United Nations Security Council (UNSC) sanctions by all government entities. The Foreign Affairs department will disseminate existing and future UNSC resolutions, while relevant entities will review and update their legislations and regulations to ensure full compliance.
