Anse Boileau students brave the sea for second educational fishing trip

S3 Geography students from Anse Boileau school took part in a fun and educational fishing trip on Friday, July 4.

The practical outing took place off the coast of Anse à la Mouche and was organised in collaboration with the Anse à la Mouche Fishermen’s Association. This was the second trip of its kind, aimed at helping students better understand coastal geography and the importance of the fishing industry in Seychelles.

The trip allowed students to step outside of the classroom and experience what they have been learning in Geography lessons. It focused on teaching students about traditional fishing techniques, sustainable practices, and how fishing plays a key role in the country's economy.
