2025 National Awards recipients recognised |28 June 2025
7 Medals of Honour, 6 Medals of Merit, and 2 Pride of the Republic of Seychelles Awards
At this year’s National Awards ceremony, eight men and five women aged between 16 and 94 were recognised during a special event at State House yesterday afternoon.
The Medal of Honour of the Republic of Seychelles is awarded to individuals who have rendered exceptional services of national importance or performed outstanding acts of bravery, kindness, or humanity, earning the respect and gratitude of the government and people. Similarly, the Medal of Merit recognises exceptional services or acts of bravery and kindness with national significance. The Pride of the Republic of Seychelles Award honours individuals for highly meritorious service in exceptional circumstances, also earning national respect and gratitude. All these awards recognise outstanding contributions to Seychelles and its people.
