All set for National Day celebrations this weekend

The National Day Celebrations Committee has confirmed that the military parade set for Seychelles Independence Day anniversary on Sunday, will be at 4pm instead of 4.30pm as was the case in previous years.

The committee’s vice-chairperson, Gerard Lafortune, made the announcement yesterday morning when updating the media on National Day activities scheduled this weekend.

During the press conference at the Mayor’s Office, the committee comprising acting Mayor of Victoria, Lydia Charlie, Assistant Commissioner of Police Antoine Denousse, and the coordinator of the Agriculture and Food Fair Antoine Marie Moustache, gave final details about the major events taking place from Friday onwards including the military parade, food fiesta, fairs and entertainment on the three main islands namely Mahé, Praslin and La Digue.
