More discussions on workplace abuse within the tourism sector

Representatives from various hotels on Mahé took part in a workshop recently, which aimed at finalising a set Standard Operating Procedures that will guide how workplace abuse is reported, investigated and addressed within the tourism industry.

The workshop was organised by the tourism department under the theme - ‘Strengthening workplace culture in tourism: Finalising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for handling and reporting workplace abuse’.

The one-day session took place at the Blue Hill Hotel and among those present were the principal secretary for tourism Sherin Francis; the director general for destination planning and development Paul Lebon; the director for industry human resources development Diana Quatre; and the director of the Seychelles Tourism Academy Richard Mathiot.
