Another top-of-the-podium finish for Vélo Club de l’Ouest
On his best form at the moment, Jahdel Gabriel once again led the pack on Sunday, winning the 89km road race hosted by l’Union Cycliste des Seychelles, stretching his winning streak to seven races, while his team Vélo Club de l’Ouest were once again on the podium for being the best overall team.
For Sunday’s challenge, which started at Persévérance, the riders headed up the north coast via Anse Etoile, North East Point, Glacis, up to Beau Vallon where they tuned round at the Savoy Resort & Spa and headed back via the same course, where, once in town, they headed up to Roche Caïman, before enduring the Providence Highway, and cruised on up south via Pointe Larue, Anse Aux Pins, Anse Royale, Takamaka, Baie Lazare, before heading back down via Les Canelles, where they headed back towards Anse Royale, Anse Aux Pins, Pointe Larue before ending at the Providence roundabout.
