Spamming exercise at Perseverance 1 and 2
A spamming exercise was done at Perseverance 1 and Perseverance 2 yesterday from 9am to 1pm whereby staff of the electoral commission went door to door to distribute leaflets to the residents of the two districts.
The leaflet serves to inform the residents that the provisional voters’ register has been compiled and that residents need to verify whether they are on it; verify their details; register if they are first time voters; apply for transfer if they are not yet included or place objections if they are no longer residing in Perseverance. It will also be an opportunity for the residents to place objections against anyone registered in the electoral area of Perseverance but who is not a resident of that district.
This exercise is being carried out only in the Perseverance district in order to complete the voters list of 2019 which will be closed by December 31, 2019. A provisional list is being published in today’s edition of the Seychelles NATION newspaper and any anomaly noted should be reported to the electoral commission or either at the two district administration offices at Perseverance 1 and 2 from Monday November 25 to Friday November 29.
