Women’s Parliamentary Caucus denounces gender-based violence

In order to address concerns over domestic violence in the country, the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus of the National Assembly has called on the Family department to develop a new, clear strategic plan designed specifically for Seychelles.

The call was made by Honourable Desheila Bastienne yesterday at the start of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence campaign – an annual international movement running from November 25, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women to Human Rights Day on December 10.
