President Faure congratulates newly elected Mauritian Prime Minister |12 November 2019

President Danny Faure has sent a congratulatory message to Pravin Jugnauth, the newly elected Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius.

“I am confident that the trust that the people of Mauritius have placed in your leadership will serve as further inspiration in your firm commitment to execute your duties, for the continued development and prosperity of your country and your people,” conveyed President Faure.

President Faure also expressed: “Seychelles and Mauritius, close neighbours and sister countries, have enjoyed a long amicable historical friendship, based on common aspirations, shared visions and mutual respect. As you once again take over the helm of the leadership of Mauritius, we are certain that you will continue to strengthen the excellent relationship we have been privileged to relish over the years.

Seychelles and Mauritius established diplomatic relations in 1988.
