Pioneering the unknown

In 1978, Jemmy Solin made history as the first Seychellois student to journey to the Soviet Union, a monumental achievement at the time.

His destination was Moscow, where he was to study cinematography, a field as vast and foreign as the land he was about to explore. Before embarking on this journey, Solin was already a skilled technician within the Ministry of Education, but this opportunity was a chance to broaden his knowledge and push the boundaries of his experience.
