Collection of Sooty Tern eggs on Bird Island is illegal |05 June 2024

The department of Environment has informed the public that the collection of Sooty Tern (Golet) eggs as per the Birds' Eggs (Collection) (Amendment) Regulations, 2024 is in full force effective June 1, 2024.

This is an extension of the previous ban that was in place from June 2022- May 2024.
