Air Seychelles hosted a long service award ceremony last Friday to honour 67 members of staff who had completed 10 years or more of continuous service with the company.
The event featured in the airline’s annual staff party at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino, where around 400 staff had gathered in the presence of Air Seychelles board members and the Minister for Transport, Antony Derjacques.
Over half of the award recipients had reached their 10-year milestone with the company, whereas the longest-serving staff were Mel Edmond and Williana Savy who were celebrating 30 years of service and Norbert Lepathy, with a career that spanned 40 years.
“A company is only as good as the staff that work for it. We have some very dedicated and loyal staff at Air SeychelIes and I am very proud of our retention figures. Our employees are our most prized assets and are integral to the airline’s success. To celebrate over 60 long-serving staff in one year alone is remarkable,” said chief executive Sandy Benoiton.
The awards were proudly presented by the national carrier’s chief executive and Minister Derjacques.
