Seychelles attends World Investment Forum 2023 in Abu Dhabi |20 October 2023
Delegates from Seychelles Investment Board and Financial Services Authority of Seychelles attended the World Investment Forum 2023 in Abu Dhabi which took place from October 16-20.
The goal was to ease multi-stakeholder collective action to stimulate investment flows for development, while also networking with various countries to solidify Seychelles as a country worth investing in.
The forum had many sessions in which both Investment, Entrepreneur and Investment Minister Devika Vidot and Seychelles Investment Board (SIB) chief executive Anne Rosette took part in.
During the panel discussion session on the opening day, CEO Rosette shared Seychelles’ strategies in the development and promotion of the blue economy, detailing the challenges and progressions of the sector in Seychelles.
Minister Vidot took part in two roundtables advocating for investment and improvement of entrepreneurship development in Seychelles.
Seychelles had two booths to further promote the investment opportunities available including the non-banking financial services sector.
Both parties attended numerous summits with global speakers discussing investment strategies and success stories in line with the sustainable development goals (SDG).
During the five-day event, delegates from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) attended forums on special economic zones, policy development, sustainable finance regulation and sustainable stock exchange.
The World Investment Forum in Abu Dhabi was an opportunity for the delegation to showcase and speak on the investment opportunities in line with the investor map, speak about our challenges, get insights on best practices, meet and network with high-level participants and potential investors.
