New Polish ambassador presents credentials |26 July 2023
The ambassador of Poland to Seychelles, Miroslaw Gojdź, presented his credentials to President Wavel Ramkalawan yesterday morning at State House.
Speaking to the press after his meeting with President Ramkalawan, Ambassador Gojdź said that they discussed the good diplomatic relation between Seychelles and Poland and on strengthening that relation, including cooperation in the field of culture, education, sports, tourism and trade and investment among others.
He noted that given our country is very popular in Poland as a tourist destination, he will be working to get more Polish tourists to visit our country.
He added that he will be organising a working mission to our country for discussion with the various local partners in fields of interest between both countries.
“I am really looking forward to discuss with local partners here on how we can strengthen the links that exist between our two countries so that we both benefit and that is very important,” Ambassador Gojdź said.
While in the country, Ambassador Gojdź will also call on other local dignitaries such as ministers, dean of the diplomatic corps and the secretary general of the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Ambassador Gojdź, who is based in Nairobi, Kenya, is the fourth Polish ambassador to be accredited to our country. He replaces Ambassador Jacek Bazański who was accredited on July 31, 2018.
Also present at the discussion was the principal secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Vivianne FockTave, who he had already met prior to the visit at State House.
