President Ramkalawan presents Mr Kiffin with a coco de mer nut

President Wavel Ramkalawan welcomed American centenarian Irwin Kiffin and his family to State House yesterday, on the last day on his visit to Seychelles, after a one-week holiday.

Mr Kiffin, 101, arrived in Seychelles on July 10 and spent his holidays with close relatives and friends at the Constance Ephelia Resort Port Launay and Constance Lemuria on Praslin.

Last week, the general manager of the Constance Ephelia Resort, Stephane Duchenne, organised a small get together for him and his family, which was attended by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde.

Yesterday’s delegation to State House included Mr Duchenne, and the hotel manager, Hiru Daryanani, as well as the public relations and sales manager, Sheila Banane.

Mr Kiffin left Seychelles yesterday afternoon.
