Military parade highlight of National Day celebrations |28 June 2023

As is customary, the military parade will be the highlight of celebrations to mark our National Day tomorrow, which is also our Independence Day anniversary.

The parade, which will begin at 4:30pm, will take place along the main streets in town, starting from the ex-School Meal Centre (La Promenade gymnasium), up to the Bicentennial Monument, along Constitution Avenue to the Unity Monument at Le Chantier. The VIP section will be located at the Liberty Monument where each platoon will salute the President and the invited guests.

There will be a total of about 700 participants in the parade not including the participants from different districts. There will also be a fly past by foreign and local aircraft.

And as per tradition, there will be 21 shots of canon at the State House.
